The Chocolate Pill” Cuts Cravings
According to research out of Louisiana State University, the dietary supplement of chromium picolinate reduces the sensation of hunger, fat cravings, and overall food intake in people that are overweight. Chromium picolinate has long been termed by a leading bariatrician to be called “the chocolate pill.” This is because it is effective at stabilizing blood sugar therefore decreasing sugar cravings.
The body’s ability to absorb chromium is very low which is why taking it in supplement form is important. The body needs trace amounts of chromium for healthy functioning, particularly in metabolizing carbohydrates, proteins, and fat. The study concluded that the participants taking the supplement reduced their hunger and food intake by up to 25%, resulting in a significant weight loss.

Tai Chi Helps Control Blood Sugar
A regular tai chi exercise program can help people better control their diabetes and lower blood glucose levels according to a recent University of Florida study. In adults diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, those who participated in tai chi at a minimum of five days a week for six months, significantly lowered their fasting blood glucose level, improved their management of the disease, and enhanced their overall quality of life including mental health, vitality, and energy. These findings were featured in a recent issue of the Journal of Alternative and Complimentary Medicine.
Tai chi is a low impact type of exercise program that involves slow deliberate motions of both the arms and legs. It appears almost as if it is karate in slow motion. Omega-6 Fatty Acids Lower Heart Disease Risk
