Vitamin Offers Protection From Pancreatic Cancer

Increased intake of folate, one of the B vitamins, may reduce a woman’s risk of pancreatic cancer by 50%. A recent study conducted by the National Institutes of Health clearly demonstrated the benefits of increased intake of folate and reduction of a woman’s risk of pancreatic cancer.

A study of over 100,000 people between ages 55 and 74 found that the higher the folate intake, the greater the reduction in the risk of pancreatic cancer. These findings were significant in women not men. This study mirrors previous research demonstrating that B vitamins have potent anti-cancer effects.

Folate is a small part of the bigger vitamin B complex. It is prudent to take it together with the entire complex rather than in alone.

Daily Extra by Vita Logic contains all the essential vitamins and minerals in adequate levels to meet daily requirements and produce powerful antioxidant benefits. Green Tea Slows Prostate Cancer Progression

According to the results of a recently published study in cancer prevention research, men with prostate cancer who consumed the active compounds in green tea demonstrated a significant reduction in the progression of prostate cancer.

The study included 26 men ages 41-72 diagnosed with prostate cancer scheduled for radical prostatectomy. Patients who consumed green tea extract in capsule form on average of 35 days before their surgery showed a significant reduction in the aggressiveness of their tumor.

Blood test including HGF, VEGF, and PSA are often indicative of how severe and aggressive prostate cancer is. In general it is believed that the higher HGF, VEGF, and PSA, the more likely a man is to die from his prostate cancer.

The study on green tea extract consumed by men with prostate cancer clearly demonstrated a reduction in HGF, VEGF, and PSA upwards of 30%.  While green tea is a popular drink, it should be noted that in this study men consumed, in extract form, the equivalent of 12 cups of normally brewed concentrated green tea. Clearly green tea in extract form is beneficial for reducing the spread of prostate cancer and therefore should be also beneficial in protecting against prostate cancer.

Vita Logic Men’s Formula is a combination of green tea extract, saw palmetto, and other nutrients that have been demonstrated to nourish and support the prostate. It has also been shown to improve male performance and fertility. Men’s Formula by Vita Logic should be taken by any man wishing to have an improved quality of life with regard to prostate health. It is a safe, natural, doctor recommended supplement with no known side effects.

Hormone Replacement Therapy Ineffective

Researchers have speculated that decreasing estrogen levels may contribute to muscle loss and other declines of physical function as women age. Muscle cells have receptors for estrogen and, therefore, it is believed that if estrogen levels decline so does muscle strength. A study was recently published to address the question of whether women on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) would see less physical decline with age.

Researchers found that in 2,400 older women who were randomly assigned to take HRT or a placebo, there was no difference between HRT and the placebo groups. Women’s grip strength, walking pace, and performance on the timed “chair-stand” testing was no better taking HRT versus taking the placebo.

The study concluded that HRT does not prevent physical decline in women. This adds to the ever growing list of reasons why HRT should not be used. Furthermore, HRT does not provide the other benefits once thought. More alarming than little to no benefits, is the long list of dangerous side effects. Previous studies have clearly demonstrated the major side effects include increased rate of breast cancer, blood clots, heart attack and dementia.

Vita Logic Women’s Formula contains an excellent blend of don quai, vitex, red clover, and black cohosh. The combination of these herbs has been shown in clinical studies to improve the quality of life, especially with regard to hot flashes, night sweats and mood swings. In general, most women report the benefit of an overall improved quality of life. Vita Logic Women’s Formula is a safe, natural supplement but unlike hormone replacement therapy, including Estrace, Premarin, and Prempro is not hormones and has no known side effects.
