A stoke occurs when a portion of the brain is deprived of oxygen. The 2 main types of strokes are ischemic caused by a blood or cholesterol blockage, and hemorrhagic caused by a ruptured blood vessel.

People age 50-59 taking these medications for more than 2 years had the biggest increase in fracture risk. Clearly in the senior population at risk for osteoporosis, antacid medications should be avoided.
