Hi Duke and the Dr. McBarron,
As a child I was always hyper active..One of the diets my parents tried for me or on me was a low carbohydrate diet..Of part of the diet was no soda that had caramel coloring in it..I remember the doctor said that
the coloring had ammonia in it and it could cause “other” health risks.
The only sodas I was able to have was 7UP and any clear soda.
I was not much of a soda drinker when I was young because my folks knew that the sugar in soda would make me hyper. I drank mostly milk and water and some juices as long as they didn’t add any sugar to it.
Now as a 52 year old adult I watch what I drink and eat..I eat very low salt foods..I don’t ad salt and if I do I use sea salt…I have allergies to MSG and chocolate … I’m in better health now than ever…
I listen to your show EVERY day at my desk here at WGPA radio .
WGPA carries your show too..Thank God…When you were speaking on caramel color on today I knew exactly what you were going to say..
