    Hi Duke and Doctor.

    I am 5 decades old.

For the past 3 decades, arthritis has been causing the slow deterioration and diminishing capabilities of my knees, hips, shoulders, and fingers. Currently I do not take and doctor-prescribed or over-the-counter drugs.

What foods and other stuff should I avoid, because they aggravate arthritis?

Also, what exercise, foods, and nutrients should I use to rebuild my joints, and then maintain my rebuilt joints so that I can enjoy doing aerobics, doing squats, dancing, playing basketball, playing tennis, and jump roping again?

    Thanks for your help!

Duke and the Doctor recommend Flexcin for your jointsand you should always take a good multi like Vita Logic Daily Extra or Whole Food Multi with D3. You should try to eat foods that contain your Omega 3 fatty acids and contain Vitamin D and Vitamin C. Try to stay away from cow’s milk.

I am a 58 year old female. Within the last 6 months I’ve noticed lots of cherry angiomas on my stomach area. My dermatologist says they are nothing to worry about, but to me they are unsightly. Is there anything you recommend to decrease the occurrence of these?

    Thanks so much,
    Elsa

I am a cancer survivor and have suffered from neuropathy in both my feet. I take Gababetin and it helps some. Is there anything that will be a better help for me
    that is more natural

    thank you

    PAT

A neuropathy is a broad term meaning any disease of the nerve. Nerves are either motor or sensory or both. Motor nerves control muscles and movements while sensory nerves control sensations such as touch, temperature and pain. A common neuropathy is that caused by poor circulation as seen in diabetes resulting in burning, tingling, numbness and pain in the feet. Supplementation improves the health of all nerves.

Dr. McBarron’s Recommendation: Vita Logic Daily Extra, Vita Logic EFA Formula, Vita Logic Blast B-12, Vita Logic Anti-Inflammatory Formula, Curamin

I am almost 70 and have never been used to taking drugs, as I believe in herbs and supplements. In April 2012, I was prescribed Levothyroxine for hypothyroidism, and Lisinopril for hypertension.

Five days ago I woke up with a “petechiael rash” on my lower legs. I went to doctor and he sent me to the lab for a CBC. Results should be in next week.

I am determined to get off these drugs, no matter what the outcome of my blood test is, even if it is very low platelet count.

what are all of Dr. McBarron’s recommendations? Thanks very much.

Hi! Loyal listener. 45 yr old female. 3 yrs ago, I had some nausea, and went to a gi practice. Upon routine testing to r/o celiac ( it WAS r/o), it showed an elevated IgA level. This was a concern to me but not to the dr. A scope showed mild gastritis and mild gerd. Nausea went away and stayed away. I also requested an SPEP with immunofixation which showed polyclonal hypergammaglobulinemia. Dr. not concerned as my other vitals and b/w is good.

Out of curiosity, 4 yrs later, I asked my current dr to retest iga. Still out of range at 428, cut off point upper end is 394. Any insight?

Do you you recommend Vita Logic Digestive Formula and if so, how many times per day should one take the suggested serving of two capsules?

  16. Donna

I have colitis and would like to know what kind of diet I should be on. I heard some where it should be bland diet? Will this be all the time now or just when there is a flare up? I am in my first flare up since I took medication 8 months ago. The doctor said he wanted to take out part of the colon and I would rather do things naturally if possible.

  22. Bob

What can you do for high levels of cadmium showing after a hair analysis

  23. Shirley

I have tried to call the show several times and was unable to get through. Since then 2 year old has gone through IVIG treatments and on a regimen of predisone and other meds. This is what I was trying to avoid. So sorry I could not get through. Thank you for your response.

  24. Donna

IVIG treatments are usually for autoimmune disorders. Here are Dr. McBarron’s recommendations:
    AUTOIMMUNE DISORDER

An Autoimmune Disease occurs when the Immune System fails to function properly. Normally the system produces proteins including Interferon to attack any foreign invader like a bacteria or virus. In this disorder the Immune System attacks the body itself; Rheumatoid Arthritis attacks the joints, Lupus the heart, lungs and kidney, MS the brain and Scleroderma the connective tissue. Steroids suppress the immune response but can not be taken long term because it can lead to death by infection.

Dr. McBarron’s Recommendation: Vita Logic Master Vite, Vita Logic Immune Formula, IP6 Gold, Vita Logic Adrenal Formula, Vita Logic Anti-Inflammatory Formula.

  25. Donna

Here are Dr. McBarron’s recommendations for Colitis:
Colitis is inflammation of the lining of the colon (intestine). Food passes from the stomach into the small colon where the absorption of all nutrients takes place. Waste and fiber then move into the large colon where water is removed and the matter compacted into firm fecal matter. The entire intestinal tract is approximately 27 feet, most of which is colon. When the colon is inflamed, it results in pain, bloating, gas, cramping and nutritional deficiencies result.

Dr. McBarron’s Recommendation: Vita Logic Anti-inflammatory Formula, Vita Logic Digestive Formula, Healthy Trinity, Vita Logic Daily Extra, Vita Logic EFA Formula.

Eating with ulcerative colitis should be based on a well-balanced diet that’s high in protein, complex carbohydrates, whole grains, and good fats. Such a diet will provide you with energy and keep you well. Your diet may include meat, fish, poultry, and dairy products (if you don’t have lactose intolerance); breads and cereals; fruits and vegetables; and margarine and oils.

  26. Donna

To help reduce cadmium your diet should be high in calcium, iron, protein and zinc, these items help to reduce the amount of cadmium absorbed.
